Ski to Sea Recap, Results!

Teammate for BDP and Kulshan Cycles, Amber Morrison competes for America in the Downhill Ski portion of S2S!

 

Coming off of Memorial Day Weekend, many team members competed in Bellingham’s annual Ski to Sea relay race, which traverses from Mt. Baker to Bellingham Bay and is comprised of 8 racers (XC Ski, Downhill Ski, Downhill Run, Road Bike, Canoe, Cycolocross and Kayak)! These are the events our athletes competed in and how they fared:

Overall it was an incredibly successful event, great for team bonding, a reunion with friends and family, podium finishes, testaments of health, and all types of weather experienced. Teammate, Aly Howisey wrote about her experience in her blog; we’d love to share a portion of that with you here,

Girls Rule. And Ski to Sea Does Too.

The perfect lead up and preparation and conditions never exist. At least not consistently. On Sunday Al asked if I would switch legs with her because the snow was slow. Like I pride myself on versatility and flexibility but now I’m having “did I pack my poles” nightmares and blurry visions of popping out of my bindings.
