Coming this Saturday, April 9, 2016, are the 34th Annual Honeywagon 4-Mile and 1/2 Marathon races, hosted by GBRC. The races are chip timed, and the 1/2 Marathon is a certified course that is very flat and fast! We at BDP love this race, because it feels like a family get-together, and some of our teammates plan to toe the line for fun this weekend! We hope to see you there. Location: Races will start at Nooksack Valley Middle School (404 W. Columbia, Everson, WA)
Start Time/s: 1/2 Marathon (walkers) will start at 8:00 am, all other 1/2 marathoner’s start at 9:00 am, 4-miler’s start at 10:00 am. There is also a Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run, to be started at 9:15 am.
Course: The 1/2 Mile Fun Run takes place at the school. The 4-mile walk/run and 1/2 marathon races are on relatively flat, low traffic country roads. Course Map is available HERE.
Registration: Online registration will be open until April 7th, and race day registration will begin at 7:30 am, behind the school in the Activity Building, and will close 15 minutes before each prospective race.
Entry Fee: GBRC Members are FREE. 4-miler’s are $20 pre-race and $25 day of. 1/2 Marathoner’s are $25 pre-race, $30 day of. All kids 10 and under are FREE for the 1/2 Mile.
Pre/Post Race: Mountain Meadow Massage will be offering pre and post run complementary massages!
Finisher Medals/Awards: 1/2 Marathon Finisher medals and race shirts are available for purchase upon pre-registration only. Awards are given to the top 3 finishers in each event for males/females. Ribbons are given to the top 3 finishersin each age group per 10-year increments. Awards will be provided by Pickford Film Center, Mountain Meadow Massage, Fairhaven Runners and Klicks Running & Walking!
