2nd Annual K2K Race Coming this Weekend!

K2K Flyer. Final

In less than a week, the 2nd Annual K2K Race will take place, beginning at K2 (1538 Kentucky St.) at 12:00 pm! For those of you who might not know, K2K was created by the Bellingham Distance Project as a means of getting the community together for a fun and family-friendly experience at a unique distance, where one could go all out to test speed, walk, or everything between. It was also created to celebrate Kulshan Brewing, who’s mission aligns with our own: to sustainably produce, to maintain a fun and fulfilling work environment, and to give back to the local community. We are big fans of their extensive line of award-winning beers (see: Bastard Kat IPA, Red Cap Irish Red Ale, Transporter Porter, Good Ol’ Boy Pale Ale, Kitten Mittens in the winter, etc.). K2K was also developed to create a bonding experience, not only with the community, but for the women of BDP, who all volunteer. Proceeds from K2K go towards helping pay for the team’s travel and competition at the National stage, for the annual USATF Club Cross Country Nationals each December. This year’s Nationals will take place in Tallahassee, Florida at Apalachee Regional Park on Saturday, December 10, 2016. So if you haven’t already, you’ve got to sign up! You can sign up HERE!
