Last weekend was host to the 38th Annual Nookachamps Winter Runs, where teammates, Rachel Cundy and Hazel Clapp competed in the 5k and the 1/2 Marathon, each taking 1st in their prospective race.

The Nookachamps races are USATF certified; the 5k starts North on Laventure, where racers endure a nice hill before taking Martin Rd. to the trail head for the College fitness trail. The 1/2 Marathon traverses Skagit Valley farmland, which is host to gorgeous trumpetor swans. Both Rachel and Hazel used their race as a means of getting in an excellent workout with competition, and both have a better picture of their fitness in doing so. Congratulations ladies! Way to represent!
