“What a weekend! After finishing 4th in Saturday’s Beast, I closed out the weekend with my first 1st place finish in the Sprint on Sunday. It still feels a bit surreal! Sunday was a battle for the podium from start to finish. It all came down to the last obstacle, the Herc Hoist. I was third coming into the obstacle, but my strength training seemed to pay off. It was a sprint to the finish, and I snagged first by a mere 4 seconds. So crazy and exhilarating! Two very different races and different weather conditions made for a fun and challenging weekend of racing. Congrats to all who competed out there! I love this community and the new friends I meet each race. Everyone out there inspires me, encourages me and constantly pushes me to be a better athlete. So full of gratitude. Thanks for a great race, ladies! On to Worlds we go…

“A big shout out to Terrain Gym, my incredible PT, Nikki Buurma, and my amazing mom (Emily), who came out to support on Saturday!”
