HTC & King & Queen of Mt. Si Results!

Setting off Friday, August 24th and concluding on Saturday, August 25th, Hazel, of Team #grrls competed at Hood to Coast. 1,050 teams of 8-12 runners compete on the 199 mile long Mt. Hood to Seaside, OR trek. #grrls took 3rd in the Women’s Open, with a team average of 7:06’s. Winning the Women’s Open was Goats N Roses with an incredible team of average of 6:21’s, which brought along a bevvy of drama. Saturday, August 25 – Thomas raced the King & Queen of Mt. Si presented by Pro Ski and Mountain Service and Clif Bar. “Mt. Si is one of the most hiked mountains in the state of Washington,” and the point of the race is to see who can get to the top the fastest. Starting at Mt. Si Trail and finishing at the bottom of the Haystack, the course is approximately 4 miles and includes over 3,300 vertical feet of climbing. Post race goodies are plentiful, with amazing prizes, free beer and snacks. Thomas was 2nd OA and broke the old course record along with the 1st place finisher.
